The International Labor Day is also known as "the May Day International Labor Day" and the "International Workers'Day" (or the May Day), which are the national festivals of the more than 80 countries in the world. It is scheduled for May 1st every year. It is a festival shared by working people all over the world. In July 1889, the second International Congress led by Engels was held in Paris. The conference passed a resolution to stipulate that the international workers held a parade in May 1, 1890 and decided to set the May 1st day as the International Labour Day. In December 1949, the Central People's government administration decided to make May 1st a labor day. After 1989, the State Council basically commended a national model worker and advanced worker every 5 years, commending 3000 people every time.
